#Bridgeport, CT. (July 13, 2016): State Police detectives from the Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force arrested one person following a search and seizure warrant in Bridgeport.

On July 13, 2016 at approximately 5:00 a.m., the Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force (SNTF), with the assistance of the Bridgeport Police Emergency Services Unit, served a Search and Seizure Warrant at 28 Bell Street in Bridgeport.Miriam Almourtada Cotto

The warrant was the result of an investigation into the sale of prescription pills by Miriam Almourtada- Cotto. Detectives conducted a search of the residence, which is located within 1500 feet of Harding High School, and located hundreds of prescription pills and a number of handguns and rifles.  Almourtada-Cotto was taken into custody and transported to Troop G-Bridgeport where she was fingerprinted and photographed. Almourtada-Cotto was released after posting bond pending her court date. on a $100,000.00 Non-Surety Bond and will appear at the Bridgeport Superior Court on July 27 th , 2016.  The investigation into the firearms continues.
