UPDATE: Police Press Release:  Keil Helenese age 32 of Bridgeport was arrested in Stratford on Sunday, July 3 rd for weapons related charges. Helenese was at a picnic on Quail Street when a firearm he was carrying fell out of the holster. Helenese re-holstered the weapon and negligently discharged one round from the weapon. The bullet struck him in the hip. He was treated and released from the hospital at which time he was arrested for charges listed below.

Carrying a Firearm While Intoxicated          Unlawful Discharge                        Reckless Endangerment

Helenese is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on 07-14- 2016.

9:30pm–#Stratford Connecticut– A man on Quail Street accidentally shoots himself in the leg according to radio reports.  Police on scene, EMS on the way.
