10:34pm– #Bridgeport CT—Multiple witnesses told me that it was teens lighting off fireworks on the roof of a vacant building at 1119 Stratford Avenue that started a fire to the structure. Firefighters on arrival reported heavy fire in the back of the building. It took firefighters about fifteen minutes to knock the bulk of the fire down and about an hour to extinguish all the hot spots. Firefighters needed four hand lines to extinguish the fire in addition to other hose lines to protect neighboring homes. One firefighter received minor injuries.
