Bridgeport News: Man Dies From Injuries In Tractor Trailer Crash
7:22pm–7/15/2017– On Saturday evening at 7:22pm firefighters, police and EMS were dispatched to a motorist colliding with a semi-trailer. Trarryl Brown of 69 Kingsbury Road of Bridgeport was operating a 1989 Toyota Corolla wagon north on Newfield Avenue (Interstate 95 underpass) where he collided with a parked semi-trailer. The Corolla was wedged under the rear of the trailer. Mr. Brown was transported to Bridgeport Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The family was notified and present at the hospital. Bridgeport Police’s Serious Crash Team is investigating the fatal collision. If anyone witnessed the collision and/or has information leading up to the collision please call the Bridgeport Traffic Division at 203-576-7640. All information is confidential.

Bridgeport News: K-9 Locates Special Needs Child
#Bridgeport CT– On Sunday, July 9th around 9pm Bridgeport Police Department were dispatched to a family home on Catherine Street when a mother of a 9-year-old special needs boy realized her son had walked out the back door and she could not locate him. At 9:24pm Zeus and Officer Ryan Mullenax began the track using an article of clothing provided by the mother. The track went from Catherine Street down Harral Avenue into Nanny Goat Park then back along George Street where the child was located.
Police Chief Armando Perez said “This child would not have been found if not for the efforts of K-9 Officer Mullenax and K9 Zeus. This is an example of the great work that our officers do on a daily basis. Incidents like this one often go unnoticed but they are an integral part of all we do to serve our community”.
There are five K9 units in the city of Bridgeport.
Bridgeport News: Attempted Robbery
5:15pm–#Bridgeport CT– Two males forced a man out of his car at knifepoint in the 1100 block of Kossuth Street. The victim fled on foot from the suspects. It does not sound like his car was taken in the attempted robbery.

2:22pm–#Bridgeport CT– Jamal’s Market at 1140 East Main Street was just robbed. Police are looking for the suspect in the Arctic Street area where the man fled. The weapon used was recovered which turned out to be a pellet gun.

1:11am–#Bridgeport CT– Police are looking for a man who crashed a stolen Jeep Grand Cherokee on Lindley Street and fled foot. Police are near Ezra Street looking for the man. The car was stolen with key off Benson Street earlier.

Bridgeport News: Car Slams Into Tractor Trailer
7:28pm–Motor vehicle accidents continue to dominate the breaking news today. Witnesses to the accident told me the white Toyota station wagon was allegedly driving at a high rate of speed and ran the stop sign at Smith Street and slammed into a parked tractor trailer on Newfield Avenue near Orange Street. The driver, a woman was unresponsive and trapped requiring firefighters to extricate her. Her condition is not known at this time.

3:49pm–#Bridgeport A crash at Boston Avenue and Pembroke a Street involving Trumbull EMS and a passenger vehicle. No o crew members in the ambulance were hurt and the patient that was in the ambulance has already been taken to the hospital. The people in the passenger car had minor injuries
Fairfield News: Odor Of Gas Indoors
4:04pm–#Fairfield CT– Firefighters are on the scene of an odor of gas indoors at Chaves Bakery at 401 Kings Hwy East. Employees report to emergency dispatch an odor of gas with all ovens off. Firefighters request the gas company to the scene.
