Bridgeport News: Children Injured In Dirt Bike Crash

2:49pm–#Bridgeport CT– Two children inside the SUV were injured when a dirt bike struck the car on Captial Avenue near Main Street.  There were four children inside the vehicle.  Witnesses told me the dirt bike was traveling at a high rate of speed and was unable to stop.  No word on the biker’s injuries.

Fairfield News: Today’s 2nd Vehicle Fire After Head-On Crash

12:33pm–#Fairfield CT– Stratfield Avenue at Bond Street was closed after a head-on collision.  The blue car’s engine compartment caught fire after the impact.  No one was in the car at the time.  Police said it appeared that there were minor injuries.  The roadway reopened after 1pm.

 

Westport News: Recent Breakins

#Westport, CT–The Westport Police Department is advising residents of recent burglaries which occurred on Bonnie Brook Road during the overnight hours of 07/06/17 (last night). In one case, a homeowner awoke to the sound of the front door screen window being cut. The homeowner made noise inside the home and the suspect ran off in an unknown direction. In the second case, Westport Officers responded to a Bonnie Brook Road address at approximately 6:45am and spoke to the homeowners who discovered that someone had entered their home overnight while they were sleeping. The suspect stole approximately $4,000.00 in electronics and cash. Entry into the home was made through an unlocked door.

We request all Westport residents to remain alert to their surroundings and call the Westport Police should anything seem out of place or suspicious. Please lock all doors and leave exterior lights on.
