#Bridgeport CT–Mayor Ganim recognized Bridgeport Fire Chief Richard Thode on his receipt of the “Alan Brunacini Fire Service Executive Safety Award” and recent accomplishments of the Bridgeport Fire Department. The award was awarded by his peers of fire chiefs across the country. The chief remained humble saying even though his name is on the awards it really is a Bridgeport Fire Department award. The mayor and city council members agreed to Chief Thode’s focus on safety and training in taking care of his members reflects on how the members can continue to take care of the citizens of Bridgeport.
