Fairfield News: House Fire

4:05am--Fairfield CT– A phone call from an alarm monitoring company and an eyewitness dialing 911 resulted in an early morning fire department response that saved the majority of a Greenfield Hill residential home from a fire on Old Academy Road early Labor Day morning. A call was placed into the Fairfield Emergency Communications Center reporting a residential fire alarm activation at 04:05 AM.  Soon after this first call was received, a second 911 call from a Dunham Road resident was received stating that she could see flames in the woods behind her home. Westport News: Cops Need Your Help

#Westport CT--The Westport Police Department is requesting assistance in identifying the two pictured individuals in connection with a larceny investigation. On August 16 th , 2018 at approximately 1:30pm, a victim reported her wallet was stolen from her purse while shopping. A short time later, several of her credit cards were fraudulently used in an attempt to make purchases in neighboring towns.   Anyone with information to assist in identifying these men is asked to call the Westport Detective Bureau at (203) 341-6080.

Westport News: Criminal Impersonation

#Westport CT--On 02/07/2018 at approximately midnight, a motor vehicle stop was conducted on Jesup Road in front of the Gillespie Center. The vehicle did not have an illuminated rear marker plate and was found to have an expired registration. The operator was also unable to provide proof of valid insurance. The operator advised the officer she worked at the Gillespie Center and identified herself as the victim. She was issued a misdemeanor summons for those charges in that name.   The victim was later made aware of the stop and summons and contacted the Westport Police Department on 06/16/2018.
