UPDATE: State police say Trooper Gregory Sawicki’s cruiser  was assisting a motorist near Exit 22 in Fairfield with its lights activated to help a driver when a another vehicle traveling in the left lane veered into the shoulder and rear-ended the cruiser.  The cruiser was then pushed into the first vehicle.
Police said the trooper and the third driver had to be extricated from their vehicles by the Fairfield Fire Department. The trooper was taken to Bridgeport Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries

Accidente con policia

ACTUALIZAR: La policía estatal dice que el policía estatal Gregory Sawicki estaba ayudando a un carro cerca de la salida 22 en Fairfield con sus luces activadas para ayudar a un conductor cuando otro vehículo que viajaba por el carril izquierdo se descompuso en el hombro. El hombre fue empujado contra el primer vehículo.
Dicen que el policía estatal y el tercer conductor tuvieron que ser saqueados de sus vehículos por el Departamento de Bomberos de Fairfield. El policia fue llevado al Hospital Bridgeport con lesiones graves pero no potencialmente mortales
