Fire Department UPDATE:

At approx. 10:17 PM, The Stratford Fire Dept. was dispatched to 2037 Broadbridge
Ave for a reported structure fire with 4 adults, 3 children, 1 dog and 2 cats inside
the home. All occupants were able to evacuate the home safely. Engine 1, 2, 3, 4,
Tac5, Truck 1, responded with a total of 22 Firefighters, One shift Commander, and
two safety officers. On arrival, heavy fire was pushing out the upstairs bedroom
window. The fire was under control in approximately 20 minutes with no reported
injuries to the occupants or fire personnel. Mutual aid was provided by Bridgeport
and Milford Fire Departments for station coverage.
The structure is not habitable at this time. The American Red Cross responded and
provided assistance to the family.
The origin and cause of this fire is under investigation by The Stratford Fire
Marshal’s Office.

2020-12-10@10:21pm–#Stratford CT– Stratford firefighters remain busy tonight, this time with a structure fire in the 2000 block of Broadbridge Avenue. The second floor was fully engulfed in flames upon firefighter’s arrival. A couple of family pets perished in the fire.
