Bridgeport Police UPDATE: At 11:33 pm Bridgeport Police was detailed to block the intersection of Island Brook Ave Ext. and Colonial Ave because of low hanging wires. The officer activated his emergency lights and blocked the intersection. They were hit (t-boned) by an operator traveling north on Island Brook Ave Ext.  The officer sustained neck and back injuries and was transported to St. V’s. Hospital. The other operator claimed to have injuries and he was transported to Bridgeport Hospital. This incident is currently under investigation.

2021-03-15@10:35pm–#Bridgeport CT– A Bridgeport Police Officer was injured in a crash at Islandbrook Extension and Colonial Drive. The officer required extrication and was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. The passenger in the other car was also transported to the hospital but did not require extrication.
