Norwalk News: SHOOTING – Meadow Gardens

#Norwalk CT--On Sunday, June 6, 2021, at approximately 10:22 PM, the Norwalk Police DepartmentCombined Dispatch received 911 calls from Norwalk Hospital regarding a male with a gunshotwound dropped off to Norwalk Hospital by individuals in a vehicle.Police Officers immediately responded to the area of the hospital and found and stopped thevehicle in question. Officers were able to determine that the victim was shot while at MeadowGardens. Officers responded to the area of Meadow Gardens Housing Complex where theylocated and secured a crime scene in the area of the basketball court. Investigators respondedand began gathering evidence and speaking with witnesses. Senior Fraud Bill

Connecticut’s state senate passed a bill aimed at helping to protect seniors from fraud (HB 6458). The legislation, which already received state house approval, will now head to the governor’s office for approval.  Creating a task force to study ways for protecting seniors from fraud is the bill's aim. The task force will review the planning services available to Medicaid applicants, according to the amended bill passed unanimously by the state House of Representatives. In response, Steven L. Bridgeport News: Overnight Incidents

2021-06-06 12:09am--Units responded to the 200 block of Washington Ave. on a possible robbery/serious assault call. AMR was giving medical attention to an unconscious male, bleeding from his head with a closed swollen eye. The man was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital. CFS # 45599 (0156 hours) St. V’s ER. 1:56am--A stabbing victim was brought into St. Vincent's Emergency Room.
