Bridgeport News: Pedestrian Struck

Police said: " On October 10, 2021 at approximately 8:55 pm the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center received a call for service #2100087513 for a Car vs Pedestrian evading crash at North Avenue and French St. A pedestrian was crossing North Avenue from the southside of the street to the northside when he was struck in the left travel lane by a dark unidentified vehicle. The vehicle failed to stop and continued eastbound on North Avenue. The Bridgeport Fire Department and AMR responded to the scene. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene by AMR Paramedic. Ukrainian Club Celebrates 100 Years

2021-10-09 #Southport CT-- #Fairfield CT-- State Senator Tony Hwang presented a proclamation celebrating the 100 year anniversary to president Michael Gudzik and his wife Carol on Saturday. Michael's grandfather was the founder of the club. Carol said "after the last year and a half we have all gone through and for this tiny club to have survived is truly a miracle"!
