Video Report with Police UPDATE:

The homicide victim has been identified as 32-year-old Ramon Gonzalez-Peguero Jr. of Hartford CT.

The non-fatal shooting victim has been identified as 18-year-old Kazzmaire Dorsey of Bridgeport CT. (stable condition)

On July 10, 2022 at approximately 4:55 pm Bridgeport Police responded to reports of (2) subjects shot in the area of the Atlas Gas Station located within the 1700 block of Fairfield Avenue.  Upon arrival Officers located 2 victims; each suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.  Police Officers and medics began life saving procedures and quickly transported both victims to area hospitals.  One of the victims, identified as a 32-year-old Hartford man, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.  The second victim, identified as a 18-year-old Bridgeport man, remains in surgery at this hour.

It is reported that several illegal ATV’s, dirt bikes, and other motorcycles were in the area during the time of the shooting. 

Patrol Officers secured the crime scene and notified the Detective Bureau (DB).  The DB Homicide Squad has taken charge of the investigation with Detectives from the Identification Unit (forensics).  They are currently in the process of interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence at the crime scene (1700 block of Fairfield Avenue).  The Bridgeport Police Department has notified next of kin for the deceased victim.  We offer our sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

2022-07-10 #Bridgeport CT– At least two people were shot, one has passed at the Atlas Gas & Mart on Fairfield Avenue near State Street. There are no further details.
