A three-car crash with entrapment at the intersection of Wheeler Road and Shelton Road/Route 110 in Monroe injured six people, including one person who was trapped in a vehicle.
Mutual aid from surrounding towns was requested as crews worked to treat the injured and free the trapped occupant. Unconfirmed radio reports said three trauma alerts were taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport.
