(Bridgeport, CT – Aug. 12, 2013) – The latest generous donation for the Bridgeport Police Memorial fund is $2,500 from UI and its workers presented today by the President of the Utility Workers Union Of America Moses A. Rams.  Police Chief Joseph Gaudette and Bridgeport Police Union President Chuck Paris accepted the check.

Plans began three years ago to build the memorial to honor the 12 city police officers who died in the line of duty. The project is expected to cost about $380,000, and the city and Police Union Local 1159 have been actively fundraising to make it a reality.
