2:30pm– Shots fired outside the capitol on 2nd street and Constitution Avenue with a reported capitol police officer injured. The capitol is now on lockdown.  More information as this story develops.

 

UPDATE:

2:30– It seems there will be a news conference at around 3:00pm in regard to the shots fired.

2:59– According to WTNH the House side of the capitol is no longer under lockdown.

2:58–According to ABC7’s Twitter page, the white house gate was just rammed with a car, however, there are no other sources stating this.
