Police UPDATE:

On Thursday, October 14, 2021 at approximately 12:58 AM, the Fairfield Police Department received a report from a Cumberland farms employee at 975 Kings Highway East, Fairfield, that a male gunshot victim had just entered the store. The victim is a delivery driver for Miller Nissan who was shot in the abdomen during a robbery attempt at the dealership at 930 Kings Highway East.  The victim was transported to an area Hospital and has undergone surgery.  The latest report was that he is expected to recover.

The suspect was described as a male wearing a hooded sweatshirt who fled from the scene towards Castle Ave. Fairfield and Westport K9’s conducted tracks which led to a nearby residence, but they were unable to locate the suspect at the time. A follow up investigation led investigators back to that residence and Fairfield Detectives took a suspect into custody for questioning at approximately 6:20 AM.

At this time, there is no reason to believe additional suspects are at large and as such, there is no active threat to public safety.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation with updates pending.

2021-10-14@12:58am–#Fairfield CT– A man walked into the Cumberland Farms on Kings Highway shot. According to radio reports it sounds like a robbery. Police are looking for a heavy set black male, 5’10” who asked for his wallet and then shot him. Police K-9 tracking on Castle Avenue behind the dealership.
