7:34pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A boy was seriously injured and in a lot of pain after being hit by a motorcycle or dirt bike at PT Barnum Housing near Anthony Street. The cyclist fled the scene.
Westport News: Custodial Arrest
#Westport CT-- On 07/23/2018 at approximately 9:30am, an officer observed a vehicle with an expired registration traveling southbound on the Sherwood Island Connector. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Greens Farms Road. The operator claimed the vehicle he was driving belonged to his brother. He also claimed to have lost his license and provided officer’s a fraudulent name. The investigating officer checked the license of the name provided and observed the driver’s license photo did not match the operator of the vehicle, nor did the address. Officers later learned the operator was actually the registered owner of the vehicle, Lou Geneus, who was operating with a suspended driver’s license. Geneus was also unable to provide proof of valid insurance…

#Westport CT--The CT Challenge Bike Tour will be taking place tomorrow (7/28/18). Motorists should expect to see a large volume of bicyclists between 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. on the following roads: Long Lots Road, North Avenue, and North Avenue extension. Motorists traveling through these areas should expect delays and possibly brief road closures. The police department asks that motorists use extra caution when driving through the affected roads. HARTFORD, CT – Governor Dannel P. Malloy is directing U.S. and state flags in Connecticut to fly at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, July 28, 2018, in honor of U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. James Tyler Grotjan of Waterford, who died from injuries sustained while stationed overseas at Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates. Bridgeport News: Police Reunite Child With Dad After Being In Car During Carjacking
How about some likes for the Bridgeport Police Department who searched for a red Nissan that was taken in a carjacking on Park Avenue with a five-year-old still inside. All departments in the police department including housing details and detectives searched the city. The car was first located and it was located but lost on Newfield Avenue. “Housing One” was driving on I-95 northbound when he located the vehicle and followed the car until back up arrived.
