His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Westport News: Multiple Motor Vehicle Charges

On 07/15/18 at approximately 9:30am, an officer observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on Long Lots Road. The vehicle traveled straight through the intersection with Hyde Lane, without stopping for the stop sign located there. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Long Lots Road and the operator identified herself as Nell Gibbon of Fairfield, CT. Gibbon was unable to provide a registration for the vehicle or an operator’s license. A check of each revealed the registration was expired and Gibbon’s operator’s license was suspended. Because she had no identification and no documentation with her name on it, Gibbon was taken into custody and transported to headquarters where she was later positively identified as Nell Gibbon. #Hartford – Bridgeport mayor and Democratic candidate for governor Joe Ganim today called on Ned Lamont to release a full financial disclosure statement in advance of the Democratic primary election onAugust 14.  Mayor Ganim is calling on Lamont to release the documents before the next scheduled debate between the two on July 26th. The mayor also reiterated his call for Lamont to limit his primary campaign spending to either $1 million dollars or the amount of $1.25 million dollars proposed by Susan Bysiewicz, Lamont’s Lt. Westport News: Gas Pump Struck

#Westport CT--On 07/14/18 at approximately 10:15pm, officers were dispatched to a local gas station on a report of a vehicle that had struck the gas pumps. The vehicle was observed losing control after entering the lot and striking a trash can and gas pump. One of the pumps sustained minor damage, which was found not to be hazardous by the Westport Fire Department. The operator was identified as Heather Bower of Wilton, CT. In speaking with Bower, officers detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on her breath. Bower was asked to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which she failed. She was taken into custody and transported to headquarters where a breath test found her to be above the legal…

#cttraffic--Many of you had questions regarding Governor Dannell Malloy's executive order to have $10 million for a survey on tolls. I reached out to Connecticut State Senator Tony Hwang for more information. Senator Hwang was upset with the “arrogance” that an outgoing governor wants to pass along $10 million in bonding to do a study that no one has wanted. Hwang says the study is double what the Department of Transportation requested. Hwang was upset that there will be no oversight of this study by the elected legislators, just the Malloy Administration. Fairfield  (CT) – Quick action by Bridgeport Resident Frederico Davis and Connecticut Conservation Police Officer  Hey saved a Norwalk woman’s life, who experienced a medical emergency today on Interstate 95. Both Davis and Hey witnessed a two-car motor vehicle accident that occurred noontime Southbound on Interstate 95 in the area of the Black Rock Turnpike overpass.  Both found a motor vehicle in the left shoulder on fire with the passenger compartment filling with smoke as a result of a motor vehicle accident.  Both Davis and Conservation Police Officer Hey removed the semi-conscious driver from the vehicle before life threating injuries could occur to her. “It was the quick action…
