DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Bridgeport News: Police Investigate City’s 22nd Homicide

Police Update: The city's 22nd homicide occurred last night at about 1917 hours when two armed men came to the Just Right Cutz barbershop at 500 Park Avenue and started an altercation that left Deon Rodney (DOB: 2/19/85 of 479 Wood Ave) shot in the abdomen. Rodney was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital, but did not survive. The motive for the shooting is still unknown and it is not clear if Rodney was the intended target.
