Firefighters were called to the Trumbull Mall at 5065 Main Street where a number of pipes on the roof had burst. Unconfirmed radio reports indicated the area affected the most as in the Forever 21 area. 2026-01-21@11:44am-- #Trumbull CT

Upon arrival, smoke was visible from the sixth floor of the building. Crews advanced to the sixth floor, stretched a line from the standpipe, and extinguished a bedroom fire. All occupants were already out of the building when firefighters arrived, and a small number of pets were removed safely. No further issues were reported at the scene. Firefighters on scene on Hodge Avenue for an oven fire that was extinguished by police prior to their arrival. Ansonia Police extinguished a fire on North Main Street earlier this morning. Police are investigating a crash involving an SUV that struck two ambulances that were parked in the ambulance bay at St. Vincent's/Hartford Healthcare on Hunting Street.
