#Meriden Connecticut--The Connecticut Heroes Foundation held their 12th Annual Memorial Tribue at Hubbard Park in Meriden Saturday. Over the years the foundation has honored 54 fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. This years honorees were Corporal Frank Navarro, Captain Andrew Pedersen-Keel, SP4 Phillip Ruminski, Jr., CUCM/DV Robert Steehem adn LTC Ronald Storz. Many local, state and federal officials attended.

#Westport Connecticut---On September 21, 2016 at approx. 6:24 p.m. officers were dispatched to 1790 Post Road East, Stop & Shop, on report of a shoplifting. It was further reported that the suspect, identified as Louis Bottone, was being detained by store security. The Security Officer Reported that he observed Mr. Bottone place a total of fourteen packs of Energy Drinks into a shopping bag and then watched him walk out of the store without paying. The Security Officer confronted Bottone outside of the store and detained him until the police arrived. The value of the stolen merchandise was $146.46.
