DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Trumbull News: Stand Off Ends Peacefully

10:14pm--#Trumbull CT--Trumbull Police along with other local police breach the home of 272 Shelton Road.  A man had allegedly shot at his neighbor across the street with a shotgun.  Police located buckshot in the man's tree.  Children from St. Catherine's Church were on church property for movie night and were ushered off the property by police, it was uncertain if the man was in his house or on foot in the area. Local roads were blocked off by Trumbull, Shelton and Stratford and a perimeter was set up.  Police had made reverse 911 calls to residents in the area to stay indoors. 8:28pm--#Trumbull--UPDATE: Police are looking for a balding white male wearing a white baseball cap, tee shirt and ripped blue jeans.  If you see this man call 911 immediately, DO NOT approach him.   8:28pm--UPDATE: Police are uncertain if the man is on foot in the St. Catherine property area or inside his home of 273 Shelton Road. A large number of people are watching on Irwin Street wondering what is going on so police will be doing a reverse 911 call to warn residents. Bridgeport News: Man Shot On Brooks Street

Video contains images that may be disturbing to some. Viewer discretion is advised. #Bridgeport CT--Just before 2am Saturday morning shots rang out behind 429 Brooks Street. Witness told me 4 shots rang out and two of them found the victim. Sources tell me he was shot in the leg and buttock and lost concioussness as a result. EMS transported the man to Bridgeport Hospital and he is in stable condition.
