#Fairfield CT--3:10AM--Fairfield Fire Department Press Release Fairfield Firefighters responded to a report of vehicle accident with injury on I-95 NB between Exit 22 and Exit 23. AMR Ambulance arrived first on scene and reported that extrication was required. Fairfield Firefighters arrived on scene and initiated rescue efforts to free two trapped victims using the jaws of life and other rescue tools. A third occupant who had been ejected on impact and was determined to be non-resuscitate-able by paramedics. Firefighters from Engines 1 and 4, Ladders 1 and 2 worked together and extricated both victims in less than 10 minutes. One victim was transported to St. Vincent’s MC, the other to Bridgeport Hosp.
