DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

[Fairfield, CT, January 14, 2015] The Fairfield Public Library, Fairfield Woods Branch Library, and Pequot Library will be hosting a “Food for Fines” drive beginning Saturday, February 7 through Saturday, February 14, 2015. For 8 days only, the libraries will waive fines on overdue materials in exchange for food items to benefit the Operation Hope Food Pantry. Fuel Leak on I-95

11:51am--#cttraffic-UPDATE--Firefighters reporting the leak is on exit 29 on ramp and NOT on the highway.
