2:20pm--#Bridgeport CT--A person is reporting to police that their wallet was taken from their shopping car while shopping at BJ's. How many times have we heard Lieutenant Perez from the Fairfield Police warn us not to leave your personal belongings unattended in a shopping cart! UPDATE: Police say it is the homeless man that carries the sign saying he cannot speak. The man is capable of speaking. He is a white male, bald, wearing a blue fleece jacket with orange trim. Our city’s fifth homicide of the year occurred yesterday at just after 3 p.m. The victim, 57-year-old Jose Salgado and his wife were working in their store, Sapiao’s Grocery at 351 Lexington Ave, when two men came in to rob them, both armed with handguns. They demanded the money and when Jose went to hand the money over, one of the suspects shot him. Jose was taken to St Vincent’s Medical Center but died at 3:46 p.m. The suspects approached the store on foot from Linen Ave. Video evidence shows them walking east on Linen Ave toward the store. 12:40am--#cttraffic--#Shelton CT--There is a rollover accident at 1017 Howe Avenue Levenworth Road area with entrapment confirmed by firefighters just arriving on scene. There is also a large tree blocking the road on the downtown side of the road. Avoid the area, first responders are reporting very heavy traffic in the area. UPDATE: Sad to report a person has died in this crash.
UPDATE: Police have one suspect detained after tazing him at Main and North Street. I did hear the officer tell him to get down when calling for back up. Did he listen? Troopers from Troop H are currently investigating a report of a missing/endangered runaway juvenile from the town of East Granby. The 15 year old child, Angelica Moquete, was last seen on April 10, 2015 at 7:00am and was reported missing last night by her parents at 9:14pm. The juvenile may have possibly entered a four door older sedan, color silver/gray (unknown make or model) and may possibly be in route to the state of New York. Angelica Moquete DOB: 9/6/99 is described as a white Hispanic female, 5’6” tall, 110 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. 3:16pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A 58 year old man was shot and killed in a robbery attempt at the Sapiao's Grocery on Lexington Avenue at the corner of Linen Avenue. Police said two men entered the store and shots were fired. Multiple witnesses have told me it is the store owner but police have NOT confirmed this.
