DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Bridgeport News: 2 More Shot Overnight

#Bridgeport, CT --  -- Detectives are investigating an overnight incident in which two people were shot.  At approximately 4:18 a.m., police responded to the rear of 737 E. Main St  on a report of a shooting. The shooting occurred at closing time for an after-hours club. As the patrons were exiting the club, an argument ensued and fight broke out. Two people were wounded.  Christian Roque, 33, was shot multiple times in the torso and was transported to Bridgeport Hospital by ambulance.  The second individual, Luis Santiago, 23, arrived at Bridgeport Hospital in a car with gunshot wounds.Both individuals were listed in stable condition.The circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation.Detective James Kirkland is leading the investigation. 2:33am--#Stratford CT #ctfire--There was a house fire in the 800 block of Surf Avenue.  The officer blocking Surf Avenue on the Lordship Boulevard side would not allow me down the street to report to you on what happened. 9:01pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police on patrol on Maplewood Avenue heard shots fired and saw a silver or gray Dodge Durango speed off.  Police found the victim on Olive and Street a block away from the homicide there a few weeks back.  The man was shot in the upper arm.    I was able to hear a witness tell officers the suspect was wearing a mask.  Detectives and police are investigating. 7:45pm--A police pursuit starting on Main Street near CVS and Subway ends after the driver goes down a one way street near  Rocton and Wayne Street. One of the suspects had a gun in their waistband.
