DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

8:20pm--#Fairfield CT--Brooklawn Discount Liquor 752 Brooklawn Avenue was just robbed at  gunpoint.  Two males, one wearing a gray hoodie and the other black or blue hoodie fled down towards Capital Avenue.  Bridgeport K-9 has been dispatched. Brooklawn Discount Liquor 752 Brooklawn Avenida se acaba de robar a punta de pistola. Six  firefighters were promoted and a class of nine new fire recruits were sworn in by Mayor Bill Finch Thursday evening at the City Hall chambers those promoted were: Assistant Chief Harold Clarke, a 27-year veteran; Assistant Chief James Cook, a 27-year veteran; Lts. Jeffrey Cordisco, 14 years, Dennis Gergley, 14 years, and Damaso Morales, 24 years, and Pumper Engineer Michael DeFranzo, seven years. New Recruits ceremoniously sworn in were: Marcos Ramos; Darnell Tobin; Timothy Hannigan; Charles Ovesny; Loren Dailey; Martin Rodriguez; Terry Mincy; Gregory Prior and Thomas Varanelli.  They will be re-sworn in after graduation from the academy.
