DoingItLocal is run by Steve Krauchick. Steve has always had interest with breaking news even as an early teen, opting to listen to the Watergate hearings instead of top 40 on the radio. His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

My long time friend Don Mastersanti and his son Joe recently opened The Pantry at 384 East Main Street in Ansonia, right next door to Fitzpatrick's.  I've known Don and his family since the 80's when Don owned Scorpio Productions, one of the first wedding DJ's in the area.  He was one of the best DJ's too; that pride has spilled over into their new restaurant that specializes in gourmet comfort food.   You can get anything from a Chef Salad, Meatball sub, Lasagna, Sheppard's Pie and many daily specials.  They are open for breakfast and lunch.
