His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. Woman Charged with Risk of Injury

#Bridgeport, CT – Nov. 20, 2013 – A 22-year-old woman was arrested on child endangerment charges in connection with the physical abuse of her 5-year-old son by his father. Jarelis Lugo, of Sylvan Avenue, was charged with risk of injury to a minor. Her bond was set at $50,000. The arrest stemmed from an investigation in which the father, Daquon Gomillion, 22, was charged with multiple counts of first-degree assault and risk of injury to a minor in connection with physical assaults of their son. He remains jailed on $750,000 bond. Lugo was arrested by warrant today and charged with risk of injury. Utility Scam warning from Sergeant Jillian Cabana, Westport Police Detective Bureau Utility Company Scams- These scams commonly involve a person(s) that arrives at your home and pretends to be a member of one of the local utility companies (water, sewer,electric). They often ask to be shown to the basement or to be led into another room to check the water pressure meanwhile, allowing a second person to enter and steal from the victim’s home (usually jewelry, small electronics, or cash) while the homeowner is distracted. If you did not call the utility company and request for them to come to your home for service, you can deny them entry and call the police. Officers will be dispatched and can attempt to locate the person and determine whether…
