12:33pm--#Stratford CT--Police have one a shoplifter from Burlington Coat Factory at 800 Barnum Avenue Cutoff. The pursuit ended at the cutoff by Sunset Shores at 720 Barnum Avenue Cutoff.
Obama protesters not breaking law as reported
11:14am--#Southport CT #Fairfield CT--Police received a complaint from a business across the street from Southport Post Office at 402 Pequot Avenue. The initial report said the protesters, two of them, were preventing people from entering the post office and harassing them. Police investigated and found no laws being broken.

11:01pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters on scene at 760 Atlantic Street for the report of smoke coming from the building reporting nothing visible from the street. They are staging and investigating, now reporting it smells like food burning on the stove.
Child down in the road
10:39pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters are on scene at St. Stephens and Wordin Road where is child is unconscious in the road. No word on child's age, what he/she is doing out or why the child is unconscious. EMS on the way, police requested to the scene. This MAY be the same child missing from Woodland Avenue.

10:26pm--#Bridgeport CT--Reports of shots fired from an SUV possibly a Ford Explorer at Iranistan and Maplewood Avenue. No one hit but possibly a couple of vehicles have been hit. The SUV fled north on Iranistan Avenue. If you live in this area you may want to check your car.

The chemicals were discovered during a second visit by police to the house at 1625 Bronson Road on Tuesday, Oct. 1, and resulted in the closing of the residential street and response from federal, state and local authorities.
