12:00am--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters and EMS were busy with Carbon monoxide alarm with symptoms at 449 Lincoln Avenue. Firefighters ventilated the building and the gas company was called to the scene.

10:00pm-- #Bridgeport CT--Police are investigating an armed robbery at 1611 Stratford Avenue. No mention which store, police are reviewing security footage. The suspect wore a mask and displayed a gun.
9:38pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police responding to Bodine Hall at 80 University Boulevard, University of Bridgeport. Police radio says university security calling for help, that there are about 15-20 people fighting with baseball bats. Reports now say security, now police in pursuit of a white Honda with New York plates that may be responsible for the melee. One student on the fourth floor at Bodine Hall was injured, EMS was called to the scene.
#Bridgeport, CT – May 9, 2013 – A burglar was chased off early Thursday by a make-believe shotgun. An Alanson Road resident called police at 3:29 a.m. He told Officer Marco Brito that he was watching television when he heard a loud noise in the kitchen and encountered a masked man who was holding what appeared to be a handgun. The burglar told him not to move. The resident however stated that he was calling 911 and told the intruder that he had a shotgun. The burglar fled. The “shotgun” was really a broom.
(Bridgeport, CT -- May 9, 2013) -- Police arrested a 23-year-old man Thursday in connection with a hit-and-run accident that injured an 10-year-old boy. Paul Whitehurst turned himself in to police Thursday evening. He faces charges of evading responsibility, driving without a license, failure to yield to a pedestrian and driving the wrong way on a one-way street, which occurred as he tried to flee the scene. Officers Pete Garcia and John Perry, of the department's traffic unit, made the arrest with the help of information provided by the public.
