STRATFORD – The Town of Stratford is encouraging the community to support local, small businesses intheir annual “Shop Small Stratford” campaign. Mayor Laura R. Hoydick has issued a proclamationdeclaring Saturday, November 28th – the Saturday after Thanksgiving – “Shop Small Stratford Day" inconjunction with the national program, Small Business Saturday. Congressman Jim Himes (CT-04) announced that the Partnership to End Human Trafficking (PEHT) will receive a $344,005 grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Office For Victims of Crimes. Last night someone set a potted plant in the front scorching the front of the façade. They returned tonight without success. The fire marshal, Bridgeport Police and state police are investigating.
