First responders were called to a crash involving a work truck at the intersection of Tunxis Hill Road and Kings Highway in Fairfield. Police are investigating a carjacking that took place on Wordin Avenue in Bridgeport. According to unconfirmed radio reports, a white Chevrolet Impala was taken at gunpoint by two black males. At approximately 7:30 PM the Bridgeport Police responded to the intersection of Capitol Avenue and Parrott Avenue for a motor vehicle versus pedestrian crash. When officers arrived, the pedestrian was breathing but unresponsive. The victim was transported to a local hospital for evaluation, and their condition is unknown at this time. The driver remained at the scene and the Bridgeport Police Department is investigating.
