On-scene Bridgeport Police reports indicate no firearm was displayed and a male party was struck in the face following a verbal altercation. Bridgeport News: Overnight Shootings
On December 18, 2022, at approximately 2:35 am the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center received reports of a shooting outside the La Sabrosura Restaurant located at 533/537 East Main Street. Upon arrival, police officers discovered a victim traveling away from the area in a private vehicle. That victim, a 29-year-old Bridgeport woman, was suffering from an injury to her leg. The woman was quickly transported to an area hospital where she is listed in stable condition (non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg). A second victim of the shooting arrived at an area hospital via private vehicle with an injury to his head. That victim, a 27-year-old Bridgeport man, was treated and released (non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the head - graze wound).…

Police UPDATE: On December 17, 2022, at approximately 10:15 pm the Bridgeport Police Department received a ShotSpotter activation within the 400 block of Park Street (6 shots). Patrol Officers responded to the area and located a 27-year-old Bridgeport man suffering from gunshot wounds to his abdomen and leg. Medical were called to the scene and the victim was quickly transported to an area hospital for treatment. The victim is reported to be in serious condition but stable at this time. The Detective Bureau has responded and taken over the investigation. A crime scene was processed near the intersection of Park Street & Stillman Street and Detectives are working several leads. Bridgeport News: Escapee Recaptured
#Bridgeport CT-- Earlier this morning at approximately 0803hrs the Bridgeport Police were standing by with a female arrestee at Bridgeport Hospital. The arrestee fled the area and building but was again apprehended quickly following a very brief foot chase. She was transported back to the hospital for treatment and then transported to Police HQ for booking. No reported injuries to police nor party in custody. An alert was sent out at 1127hrs to document the additional charge. This is still an active case.
