Bridgeport News: 2 Women, 1 Man Shot

Pollice UPDATE: On May 27, 2020 at 8:03pm, officers responded to a Shotspotter activation in the area of 56 Norman Street. Officers located a crime scene adjacent to Went Field Park and were soon notified that three gunshot victims arrived at Bridgeport Hospital. Two female victims, ages 26 and 28 each sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the leg. A male victim, age 26, sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the leg, and abdomen. This victim is in serious condition and is currently in surgery. Detectives are processing a crime scene at the location of the incident and are working to establish a motive for the shooting. Bridgeport News: Fall From A Parking Garage

#Bridgeport CT--At 8:50 this morning the Fire Department responded to a report of a person that fell from elevation off of the parking garage on Fairfield Avenue.  First arriving firefighters met with PD (already on scene) who located the patient in an adjacent dumpster.  FFs began working the patient who was unresponsive, not breathing, and without a pulse.  Rapid removal from the dumpster was performed by FD on a backboard, utilizing the side door of the dumpster.  Medics continued patient care with the assistance of two FFs that continued working the patient to St. V’s hospital. Bridgeport, CT – Mayor Ganim announced the appointment of Lisa Morrissey as the new Director of Health and Social Services for the City of Bridgeport. Ms. Lisa Morrissey brings extensive knowledge to the role and most recently served as Health Director for the City of Danbury for three years.
