Bridgeport News: Brief Pursuit Ends In Crash
2020-01-07 @ 1:00PMish--#Bridgeport CT-- A two block pursuit ended when the suspects hit a landscaping truck at the intersection of Noble and Barnum Avenue. One of the suspects was injured in the crash and transported to the hospital. Police spokesperson Terron Jones said "At this time, original reasoning for the pursuit is not immediately available" but I did observe a number of under cover officers at the scene.
Bridgeport News: Fire Destroys Multi-Family Home
UPDATE: The American Red Cross is helping five families – fifteen adults – one child after a fire today on Maplewood Street; Bridgeport. The Red Cross provided assistance to meet the families’ immediate needs. Responders included: Denny Davila, Carmen Davila and Susan Shaw. The Red Cross is also providing comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant; shaving supplies and other items a resident might need when suddenly displaced from their home by a fire. In addition, a recovery envelope containing information helpful to families recovering from a fire, including tips on cleanup; notification of important contacts; dealing with damaged items and more was provided. 2020-01-06@12:17pm--Sergeant Ashley Taylor of the Bridgeport Police Department has requested police officers to go to the American Steakhouse to discuss the permit the children have to sell candy for their fundraiser. She is aware of the previous complaints and a couple of officers have said so on the radio dispatch.
