Bridgeport News: Arrests Made In Delivery Robberies

5:10pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Tonight a delivery person was robbed by 3 males wearing masks while making a delivery in the 400 block of Brooks Street.  The suspects fled with the pizza and the victim's money through the backyards of Brooks Street.  Police and K-9 were quick on the scene and located the suspects in an attic at 505 Brooks Street.  A firearm was recovered.  A sixteen year old girl was arrested for lying to police telling them there was no one in the house.  The suspects matched the description of the robberies in the same location on October 20th and 22nd.

#Bridgeport CT--River Street in Bridgeport is closed as a car was submerged underwater at North and River Street.  This is not a normal flood area that we report on.  Also reported is Seaview Avenue near 3rd and 4th Street.  Barnum and Bishop is flooded as well. Westport News: Embezzlement Charges

#Westport News: On 10/05/2017, the victims came to police headquarters to report a theft from their business by an employee. The victims stated their bookkeeper, Kimberly Goodman, 33, of Bridgeport, made fraudulent transactions in order to credit her personal accounts multiple times a month. From February 2017 until October 2017, Goodman entered fraudulent return transactions, crediting over $29,000 to her own personal credit and debit cards from the business account. On 10/17/17, Goodman turned herself in on an active arrest warrant at police headquarters. She was charged with CGS 53a-122 Larceny 1 st and released on $10,000 non-surety bond. Bridgeport News: East Washington Bridge Closure

The City of Bridgeport is alerting residents of repairs to the East Washington Avenue Bridge over the Bridgeport Harbor that will temporary close The East Washington Bridge on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. The purpose of this project is to help accomplish mechanical and electrical repairs due to storm and salt water damage. A detour route has been made available to offset the closure. The traffic will be routed to River Street from Knowlton Street heading west and North Washington Avenue to River Street from Housatonic Avenue heading east. Bridgeport News: Three Officers Receive Merit Award

#Bridgeport CT-- On October 17, 2017, Chief Armando Perez with the Board of Police Commissioners presented three Bridgeport Police officers with the Merit Award for Excellent Arrest. This was the first award ceremony under a new procedure that will award officers for their accomplishments on an expedited basis.   The Merit Award for Excellent Arrest may be awarded to any sworn member of the Department who makes an exceptional arrest of a felon who is a danger to the community, using diligence and professionalism in the performance of his duty. The award consists of a citation bar and a copy of the citation. The officers receiving the Excellent Arrest Award are: Officer Anthony Caiazzo, Sergeant Niestemski and Officer Douglas Bepko.…
