5:11pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– No Super Bowl Party at 1165 Central Avenue as there is a fire in the living room on the first floor. It may have traveled through the walls as firefighters are reporting smoke on the the 3rd floor as well.
12:55am–#Bridgeport Connecticut– #Trumbull Connecticut– Two crashes on Madison Avenue. The first is in Bridgeport at Old Town Road. The second is at Kaechele Place. No word on injuries.
12:34am–#Bridgeport Connecticut– State Police just broke off a pursuit starting at exit 5 on Route 8/25 that got off exit 3 when the broke off it off. The car was wanted for speeding.
11:36pm–UPDATE: The second shooting occurred on I-95 and state police are taking over the investigation. The person was shot in the buttocks with non-life threatening injuries.
UPDATE: Another person just showed up at Bridgeport Hospital shot. Unknown if it is connected to this shooting.
10:38pm– #Bridgeport Connecticut– A drive by shooting at Union and Stratford Avenue leaves one person grazed by the gunfire. A person was shot in the shoulder and leg earlier at Stratford and Hollister Avenue.
UPDATE: Bridgeport Detective Captain Fitzgerald said the victim was shot one, an entry/exit wound to the leg. It is a family/domestic fight and the suspect is known to them.
8:33pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A man was shot twice in the leg at the intersection of Capital and Whitney Avenue. It does not appear to be life threatening. No official word at this time on condition or suspect information.
12:30pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A man is passed out at the McDonald’s drivethru at 4219 Main Street. He’s been there for a bout 20 minutes and not moving according to radio reports.
9:00pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– Two people are allegedly overdosing in a car parked outside of the CVS at 2610 East Main Street. A woman is unresponsive and a male is thrashing about according to scanner reports.
8:11pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– There was an attempt to rob a group of school children from Blackham School’s after school recreation program. The attempted robbery occurred at Amsterdam and Thorme Street. A person wearing a ski mask fled in a dark colored car.
On December 24, 2016 at just after midnight, Miguel Rivera (3/22/83) was shot and killed in front of 323 North Avenue. Detectives were able to quickly develop information in the case, and secure arrest warrants from Xavier Rivera (1/17/83) and Moises Contreras (10/16/87). On January 24, 2017, Contreras was taken into custody without incident at his mothers home located at 400 Olive Street Bridgeport. Contreras is charged with Murder, Unlawful Restraint in the First Degree, Criminal Possession of a Pistol/ Revolver, Carrying a Pistol without a Permit and Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm. Bond was set at $750,000.
On January 31, 2017, the United States Marshal’s Violent Fugitive Task Force, staffed in part by three Bridgeport Police detectives, located Rivera at a home in Manchester, Connecticut. Rivera was taken into custody after attempting to flee and is charged with Murder, Unlawful Restraint in the First Degree, Criminal Possession of a Pistol/ Revolver, Carrying a Pistol without a Permit and Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm. Bond is set at $750,000.

11:35pm–#Bridgeport Connecticut– A police officer on duty has called in a naked man walking on Pequonnick near Washington Avenue. Narcotics may allegedly be involved….
