Mayor Ganim Declares Snow emergency in Bridgeport – Parking Ban in Effect

No Parking on Snow Emergency Routes; Parking on All City Streets Limited to Odd Side of the Street Until Further Notice   #Bridgeport, Connecticut – Mayor Joe Ganim today declared a snow emergency for Bridgeport as updated forecasts are calling for up to eight inches of snow expected to impact the region between mid-day and tonight.  As part of the snow emergency, parking is banned on all snow emergency routes in Bridgeport and is restricted to odd side of the street parking on all city streets until further notice to make a clear lane for city snow plows.  Vehicles parked in violation of the ban can be towed and owners can face a fine of $100.  A full list of snow emergency streets is…

Bridgeport News: Christmas Tree Pickups

  2017 CHIRSTMAS TREE PICKUP GUIDELINES   Tree collection will begin January 9, 2017 and will end on February 3, 2017. Place trees curbside at 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled Recycling Day. Please do not put trees outside days prior as they can be buried by snow or blown into streets causing a safety hazard. All trees must be free of decorations, lights, and plastic bags.
