3:03pm–#Bridgeport CT–Police are investigating an armed robbery by two teens about fifteen years in age. The victim was robbed on Shell Street near the park. Police are looking for two shirtless teens wearing white shorts. One of them had his white tee shirt over his head and displayed a small silver handgun according to radio reports.
2:39am–#Bridgeport CT–A car crashed into a hydrant in front of 285 Maplewood Avenue before crashing into a utility pole in front of 266 Maplewood Ave. The driver attempted to flee but police caught up with him. Turns out he had a suspended drivers license.
10:10pm–#Bridgeport CT– A woman just dropped off a stabbing victim at Bridgeport Hospital in her personal vehicle. The stabbing occurred at the market at Stratford and Union Street but police are still gathering information so the details can change.
5:21pm–#Bridgeport CT– Report of an underground fire, possibly electrical on Wells Street by the old St. Patrick according to radio reports. Firefighters on the way.
#Bridgeport CT–The free market system is alive and well in the 2500 block of Main Street. I stopped by and purchased a cookie and Kool Aid drink from Heaven as her bashful sister Sariah looks on. Their dad Edgardo took the picture. As you can see from my belly I don’t pass up too many cookies!
1:00pm–#Bridgeport CT #Shelton CT–Two car fires at the same time in two towns. One in Bridgeport at Central and Boston Avenue and the second in Shelton at Buttercup and Lady Slipper Lane.

Bridgeport Police responded to a shooting early this morning in Bridgeport, Conn. At approximately 12:21 a.m. on August 17, 2015 Bridgeport Hospital reported a gunshot victim. The victim reported that he was shot in the area of William Street and Barnum Avenue. The victim sustained gunshot wounds to the face and neck. The victim was later transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital in critical condition.
Multiple units are searching for the responsible parties, and anyone with information regarding this incident should contact the Bridgeport Detective Bureau at (203) 581-5201.
12:07am–UPDATE: A second shooting victim, possibly related to the the shots fired on Newfield Avenue shows up at Bridgeport Hospital. But a police officer was already there in an unrelated call scares them off and the victim with visible blood on his face or chest flees the scene. Police did get the plate number which comes back to Newfield Avenue.
11:33pm–UPDATE: Police establish a crime scene with multiple shell casings found at the corner house at Stratford and Newfield Avenue after additional shots fired in the area.
10:50pm–#Bridgeport CT–Police are investigating a possible crime scene near East End Kitchen on Stratford Avenue. Radio reports say the victim was driven to Bridgeport Hospital and that the victim is in serious condition. So far no crime scene has been established. This area has had two previous shootings last week. The shooting apparently happened at William and Barnum Avenue .
