The Fairfield Police Department will be conducting two separate Sobriety Checkpoints in the Fairfield Beach area on Saturday, April 25, 2015. In addition, Temporary Tow Away Zones will be in effect from 10 AM until 6 PM on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Temporary Tow Away Zones in the Beach area will be in effect on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 10 AM until 6 PM.
The following streets will be effected:
Fairfield Beach Road from Penfield Road to College Place
Reef Road from Quincy Street south to Fairfield Beach Road
Lalley Blvd from Quincy Street south to Fairfield Beach Road

Fairfield News: Stolen Looney Tunes Art
5:20pm–#Fairfield News: Dr. Jeffrey Berkley DDS is down in the mouth after finding one cells from his matched Looney Tunes dental cell set was stolen out of his office some time today. “Breaking up the set might as well have made the rest worthless” he told me. The cartoon cells are number from a dental collection he purchased. The other cell is numbered and is fairly worthless by itself and is identifiable to other collectors as it being stolen. The suspect who he may know, will have trouble selling the print. If a pawn shop purchases the cell and police discover it in the shop the cell will to be returned to the Doctor Berkley and the pawn shop is out the money paid. Police are investigating, that’s all folks! You know I had to…..add your own puns in the comments section!

Fairfield News: Missing Person/Boater
Westport Police Press Release: Department received a call from Fairfield Police Department in regards to a missing person investigation initiated out of their town. A search of known places that the missing person frequented resulted in locating his vehicle at Burying Hill Beach in Westport. With the help of Fairfield PD, Norwalk PD, and the US Coast Guard; the waters off of Westport were searched. Fairfield PD located the victims’ rowing skull beached on Cockeone Island. A foot search of Cockeone Island by Westport and Fairfield PD located the missing person, deceased, in the mud The deceased has been identified as William Supone, age 61, of Fairfield, CT and was transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiners for autopsy as this investigation continues.
10:59pm–UPDATE: The boat has been found with no water inside, cellphone in the boat, the oars stowed and backpack upright on Cockenoe Island. A search of the island has begun.
8:39pm–#Fairfield CT–Police received a call from Hulls Farm Road resident that her husband went boating and has not returned. She went to South Pine Creek Road where he was suppose to be and the car was not there. Police are looking for a brown El Camino. Police had the phone company ping the phone and it hit a tower off Norwalk. Westport and Norwalk on alert.
UPDATE: Westport Police have found the vehicle, he apparently launched off Sherwood Island. Additional ping of the phone is that the boat has not moved and is off Cockenoe Island.

8:12pm–#Fairfield CT–A juvenile was skateboard on Dill Road and saw a person aim a gun at him. Police investigate and find it was a toy gun. The incident closed local streets and Fairfield University was taken off alert. UPDATE: Police tell me it was a father and son playing with Legos and the skateboarder thought it a gun.

Fairfield News: Serious Motorcycle Crash
UPDATE: Police say the motorcycle was driven by Walter Mebane IV, 26, of Stamford and the Ford Escape SUV driven by Marie Staley, 33, of Monroe.
8:11pm–#Fairfield CT–Police are investigating a serious crash between a motorcycle and SUV at Post and Beach Road. The SUV was traveling west on the Post Road and was trying to make a left onto Beach Road. The motorcycle was traveling east on the Post Road when the SUV turned in front of the motorcyclist. The two women in the SUV were not injured. The motorcyclist taken to Bridgeport Hospital in serious condition. The driver is from Stamford but the motorcycle is registered in Fairfield police tell me. Please take a quick moment and say a quick prayer for the motorcyclist.
