DANBURY -- Shrenik Kankaria couldn't spell "akaryote," but Abram Goda could spell "rubicelle." As a result, Goda, a 12-year-old seventh-grader at the Multicultural Magnet School in Bridgeport, will head to Washington, D.C., in May to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. 2:43am--#Bridgeport CT--A man known to the employees at Walgreens at 960 North Avenue got into an argument with them and pulled a gun on the employees. The man fled the scene . Police are investigating.
This is a story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was asked to do it. Everybody was sure Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. 11:14am--#Fairfield CT--Resident on Melville Avenue called police that a heavy set 6'2" man came to her door in what appeared to be a gas company uniform asking to check for corroded pipes. The woman refused and called police because she did not call or have prior notification for the inspection, nor did she see any gas company vehicles in the area. Police are on the way. ALWAYS as for identification before letting anyone in your home claiming to work for a utility you did not call for. UPDATE--Officer sent to the scene says there are stickers on many doors from the gas company. Police confirmed with the gas company that they ARE working in the area checking indoor pipes. When…
