Report of a crash on I-95 South Exit 39B. A truck struck a car which rolled off the exit ramp. First responders are on their way.

UPDATE: First responders are on scene reporting one victim trapped in their car.

Today’s Car Fire

Today’s car fire is on I-95 on the off ramp of Exit 36 Northbound. Firefighters are currently on their way.

Report of a car that struck the Citizen’s Bank, and then caught fire at 123 Cherry Street in Milford. Firefighters were able to quickly move the car away from the building and extinguish the fire on the car.

Postal Haze….

Milford Firefighters were called to the Post Office on Pepe’s Farm Road to discover a haze in one of the rooms. It sounds like they isolated it to a motor unit on the roof. See, Milford Fire Delivers For You!

Milford Rollover

Milford first responders on the scene of a rollover tractor-trailer on the on-ramp of I-95 near exit 39B southbound. A minor fuel spill reported, no word on injuries.

Port-A-Potty Falls Off Truck On I-95

A port-a-potty fell off a truck on I-95 southbound near exit 42. The truck stopped and is attempting to put it back on the truck. I’ll leave the comments to you!

Final Reminder of Meeting for Rehabilitation of the Devon Railroad Bridge Carrying the Metro North New Haven Line in Milford and Stratford

A virtual public informational meeting for the project will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. Register for the meeting HERE. After registering, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the meeting access link.

The primary purpose of this project is to provide safety and operations improvements to the Devon Railroad Bridge, which carries one of the most popular rail lines in the U.S. Extending its service life will also lead to the construction of the future Devon Bridge Replacement Project..

No right-of-way impacts are anticipated. Construction is expected to start in summer 2025, based on design progress and approval of permit(s). The estimated cost is $110 million, with 80% federal funds and 20% state funds.
