Stratford News: Fraud Arrest

#Stratford Connecticut--On 02-27- 2017 Kimberly Lawton age 43 of Stratford was arrested by warrant for defrauding the United Illuminating Company of $4,823. The warrant is the result of an investigation started in October of 2016. Lawton allegedly used fake identities and social security numbers to obtain services from the UI and then did not pay the fees for the service. Lawton was arrested on 02-27- 2017 and charged with the following. 53a-124 Larceny 3rd 53a-130 Criminal Impersonation 53a-129d Identity Theft 3 rd .  Kimberly was given a court date of 03/08/2017, Bridgeport GA-2. Stratford News: Moped Driver Critical After Collision With Car

On 02-17- 2017 at approximately 1956 hrs, Officers responded to an accident at the intersection of Canaan Road near Mary Avenue. The accident involved a Toyota Camry and a motor scooter. Preliminary investigation indicates that the moped operator was traveling south on Mary Avenue and attempted to cross Canaan Road to continue onto Mary Avenue. While crossing the intersection the Camry which was traveling west on Canaan Road collided with the moped. The operator of the moped was ejected and suffered serious injury. He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment. #Stratford Connecticut--Robert Keith Abel age 54 was arrested and charged with Robbery 2 nd , Larceny 4 th ,Larceny 2 nd and Attempted Robbery for his involvement in an attempted robbery at theWalgreens Pharmacy and a bank robbery at Webster Bank. The incidents occurred at approximately 1245 pm and 1 pm respectively.Abel was held on bond and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Court on 02-28- 2017. (Stratford Police Press Release)

Stratford News: Bank Robber Caught!

#Stratford Connecticut--Keith Able age 55 of Florida was arrested after robbing Webster Bank of $1200 dollars and attempting to rob the Walgreens Pharmacy. Abel was taken into custody in Milford after he crashed a stolen car he was driving. The car was stolen in South Carolina. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending for his involvement in both incidents. There were no weapons displayed and no one was hurt during the robberies. (Stratford Police Press Release)

Stratford News: Webster Bank Robbed By Same Person

1:09pm--#Stratford Connecticut-- The Webster Bank at 606 Barnum Avenue was also robbed by the same suspect according to radio reports.   An UNCONFIRMED report from a viewer said the suspect crashed in Milford with dye all over him from the dye pack.   It is believed to be the same person who robbed the Walgreens at 1606 Barnum Avenue.   As soon as I get more info from Stratford Police I will let you know for sure!
