Stratford News: Animal Control Needs Your Help

Stratford Animal Control is looking for a dog that bit an 81 year old man who was jogging. The bite occurred on 04/15/15 at approximately 0930am on East Main Street about halfway between Main Street and Wilcoxson Avenue The man received minor puncture wounds to the right forearm and was treated and released from medical care. The dog ran off and is described as a medium size collie type dog with long orange and white fur. Animal Control would like to speak to the owner of the dog to verify that the dog is current on its rabies vaccinations so that the man does not have to receive post-exposure rabies treatments. Narcotics Arrest

On 04-09-2015 Jonathan Lucky age 28 of Naugatuck CT was arrested following a narcotics investigation into alleged sales of heroin. During the investigation investigators from Stratford PD along with those from the Statewide Narcotics Task Force observed Lucky as he pulled into the parking lot of a Walgreens in Bridgeport. The information developed in the case led investigators to believe that Lucky would be there to conduct a drug transaction. Officers approached Lucky as he sat in his 2010 Jeep Cherokee. As the investigators made contact with him, Lucky attempted to flee, striking a parked vehicle. He was subsequently taken into custody without incident. At the time of arrest Lucky was found to be in possession of $1,380 dollars and 1.18 pounds of heroin which was packaged in…

Bridgeport and Stratford Police Investigate Two Deaths The Bridgeport and Stratford police Monday are investigating two deaths and any potential connection. Earlier today, police investigating the disappearance of Minnie Lincoln, a 57-year-old Bridgeport woman, located human remains in a marshy area behind an industrial on Watson Boulevard in Stratford. Bridgeport and Stratford Police, with the assistance of the Connecticut State Police and the FBI, had been investigating her disappearance since she was reported missing on March 31. Police developed strong leads and today began a search in the Watson Boulevard area and located human remains. UPDATE: Bridgeport Police Department have him in custody at Orange and Carroll Avenue. A silver BMW is being pursued by Stratford Police. The chase just exited Route 8 northbound exit 4, then back southbound. The car then exited Fairfield Avenue, the passenger got out of the car. The BMW continued east on John Street. On 03-21-2015 investigators from the Stratford Police Youth Bureau arrested John Naughright, age 36 of Stratford for Possession of Child Pornography. The arrest came after investigators served a search warrant at Naughright’s home. Naughright was taken into custody at his place of employment in New Haven by the investigating officers. Naughright is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Court on 04-02-2015.
