Please use caution if on the highway near there as police along with K-9 have just crossed over all four lanes. It is believed the suspect got picked up by car in that area. 10:55pm--#Monroe Connecticut--#Trumbull Connecticut-- A police pursuit that for a Subaru Outback originating in the Main Street Monroe area down Route 25 south has been broken off by police. The pursuit continued on the Merritt Parkway south and terminated in the Westfield Trumbull Mall area. Fairfield Police located and then lost the vehicle in the Tunxis Hill Road area near Kohls. 5:05pm--#Bridgeport Connecticut-- #Trumbull Connecticut-- An employee at the TD Bank at 4865 Main Street Bridgeport flagged down a police officer outside the bank which turned out to be a Trumbull Police Officer on a traffic stop. Someone inside the bank was attempting to commit fraud. The officer gave chase and the suspect fled into a white BMW with New York plates north on Main Street. The officer lost sight of him. Bridgeport Police located him on Route 8/25 southbound in heavy traffic. They were able to bring the car safely to a stop at the split of I-95 north/southbound. They have four people in custody.

The American Red Cross is looking for new volunteers in Fairfield County to help respond to house fires. The Red Cross will host a one-day disaster volunteer training event to train new volunteers on how to assist families immediately after a house fire.
