2021-12-08@9:00pm--#Fairfield News: Police are investigating a shots fired incident on Stillson Road at Fairfield Woods Road. Multiple people witnessed a passenger shooting in the air near Stillson Road from a white Toyota. Police stopped the car at Applegate Road and the occupants of the car was taken into custody. GOVERNOR LAMONT ANNOUNCES STATE COLLECTS $1.7 MILLION FROM FIRST MONTH OF SPORTS WAGERING AND ONLINE CASINO GAMING

Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Publishes Data on Sports Wagering and Online Casino Gaming for Month of October (HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Ned Lamont today announced that the State of Connecticut has collected roughly $1.7 million during the first month of legalized online gaming and sports wagering, which began in Connecticut with a soft launch on October 12. Between the soft launch through October 31, the state collected approximately $513,000 from sports wagering and $1.2 million from online casino gaming. Tax Amnesty Program is in Effect Through January 31, 2022 (HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Ned Lamont and Department of Revenue Services Commissioner Mark Boughton today are raising awareness about the 2021 Connecticut Tax Amnesty program, which offers individuals and businesses the opportunity to pay back taxes at a reduced interest rate and no penalties. The program launched on November 1, 2021 and will end on January 31, 2022. It provides a 75% reduction in interest and waives penalties and the possibility of criminal prosecution to those who haven’t filed, have under reported, or have existing liabilities related to taxes owed to the state for any tax period ending on or before December 30, 2020. Stratford High School Threat

Stratford Police Press Release: On 12/05/2021 the Stratford Police received a call from concerned students and parents concerning apossible threat to Stratford High School. The threats were received via an online chat group and thesender threated to bring a weapon to the school.Stratford Police investigators were able to trace the threats to a juvenile male who resides in FairviewNew Jersey. A joint investigation between this agency and the Fairview Police Department and FBIresulted in the juvenile being located by the Fairview PD. The juvenile was interviewed and subsequentlycharged with making terroristic threats in New Jersey.
