Bridgeport News: Foot Pursuit after Car Chase

8:00pm--cttraffic--#Bridgeport CT--Bridgeport Police were just in a car chase on I-95 north and southbound exit 27 and 28 area.  The pursuit started heading northbound, got off exit 28 then back onto I-95 southbound getting off exit 27.  The pursuit continued down Park Avenue where the suspect bailed on foot towards Marina Village.  The suspect was quickly apprehended. Bridgeport Detectives Arrest Suspect in Sexual Assaults

#Bridgeport, CT – Aug. 18, 2014 – A 40-year-old city man faces charges that he sexually assaulted three women at a residential treatment facility where he worked as a janitor. Detective Walberto Cotto Jr. secured arrest warrants charging Rafael Cartagena, of Bridgeport, with three counts of first-degree sexual assault and four counts of fourth-degree sexual assault. In June, police responded to the New Prospects – Recovery Network of Programs, at 392 Prospect St.,  on reports that the janitor had sexually assaulted several female clients. The allegations were reported to police by staff at the facility. During the course of the investigation, Cotto interviewed three victims, who stated that Cartagena had sexually assaulted them while they were clients at the facility. One of…
