Here is the police reports on the news we reported to you LIVE as it was happening: Detectives Investigate Three Shootings (Bridgeport, CT – June 9, 2014) – Detectives are investigating three shootings that happened over the weekend. On Sunday just before 2 a.m., Officer Ean Smith and Sgt. Edward Golding police responded to the area of Jane and Beach streets and found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his legs. Police recovered a spent shotgun shell in the area and a small knife near where the victim was located. 12:22am--#Bridgeport CT--A man being chased by six males was shot twice, once in the foot and once in the thumb. EMS on the way.
11:14pm--#Bridgeport CT--Tonight's car fire is being hosted in Bridgeport on Truman Street. Firefighters on the way.
10:39pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police investigated a report that a man was shot near the corner store on Highland Avenue, the report said the man was shot in the leg and hobbled off. Police found no one on arrival. A man shot in the leg just arrived at St. Vincent's Hospital. Police continue investigating.
6:19pm--#Fairfield CT--Firefighters on the way to a grease fire at 579 Center Street.
5:41pm--#Shelton CT--Firefighters responded to 411 Coram Avenue for smoke in the building. The tenant evacuated the building thinking the water heater let go and the cause of the smoke. The water heater did let go but the smoke was caused by food burning in another apartment.
